A lot of people think of adrenaline junkies in a bad way, and people who don't know much about parkour think that what we are doing is simply for the adrenaline.
Well, it's not.
We do not do what we do for the adrenaline, although we obviously get it when the training session really gets going.
When doing a large running pre or a dive front flip, adrenaline keeps the body awake and aware, which is essential.

Basically all physically challenging sports create adrenaline, even where there is practically no risk. You can get adrenaline from an intense ping-pong match!

Parkour is not associated with climbing cranes and hanging off one hand to get a surge of adrenaline. Adrenaline is part of parkour and is the thing that gets things rolling. But we are not junkies waiting for the next fix. We are practitioners studying an art form.
